Ok basically here's what's happening...used my 97 zrt600 on sunday...worked like a top
had no trouble lifting the skis way up off the ground, tons of takeoff and tons off top end.. then last night I take it from my truck and my friend starts it...(i wasn't paying full attention), but I think it was idling just fine..then he turns it off, I put more gas in it from a can and go to leave about 10 mins later (it was turned off during this time) and Viola, it has no take off speed...it'll get up to about 40-50 mph and it still has the guts but no low end. nothing was changed except the gas..so could it be 1) the gas is just a dead can (it was outside with 3/4 of a can so maybe condensation?) or 2) plugs? or a combination of both...gonna change the plugs tomorrow, and the gas if that don't work.
then maybe the belt but I don't think it's that?
any ideas??

1) Could be water in your gas. Believe it or not, it is better to gas up from a gas can in below zero temps, using a funnel. The water in the gas turns to ice and stays on the funnel screen. You wouldn't believe the water in gas these days.
2) Has your engagement RPM changed? Does your belt knock? If not, it should have nothing to do with a burnt belt.

Usually water in gas will cause a hesitation on the lower speeds. You may have to drain your carbs, their bowls could be full of water!

Thanks JUE ,
I'll try the plugs first , it's easiest wink.gif , then I'll check the mounts... and then drain the gas..and bowls...thanks for the info and the tip on the funnel
