I have a 2002 Viper that when you give it the max throttle at around 60-70 mph it acks like it has a goveuner what might be the problem?? Any help is greatly appreciated.

What do your RPMs look like. Is it making it's suggested RPM range. If not look at the primary clutch spring. I had mine break in half last year and it would make RPMs so it was slower cause it wouldn't hold RPMs.

I ended up taking it back to the dealer and they reset the needles to a lower setting and polished the jets now I have incredable top end and the mileage is up to where I thnk it should be .
