Well here I am in the Holiday Inn in West Yellowstone looking forward to my sledding tomorrow. I see a couple of you Indiana boys have been here. I came out with a group of 41 through Ambassadair travel club. We are going to sled the park tomorrow and then West Yellowstone the following day. We all have two up Arctic Cat 660 sleds for the park ride and I just happened to luck out and get an Arctic cat M6 for the out of park riding the next day. Saweet!

Any recommendations or advice from you Yellowstone riders?

if ur not gettin stuck your not having fun.

becarful. dont push your riding ability. get a chance to go play out in some open flats and learn how to carve then try to find some hills and start side hillin. You will want to stop at the top of two top mountain. amazing sight to see.

X2 on that.....Was there last Dec. very deep off trails ....Check out Madison Arm Loop...Watch for Buffalo! Not kidding! they will NOT move for you.

Don't ride off trail alone unless you can see and be seen from a trail in case you get into trouble.

Have a GREAT TIME!!!

ya.....go out for a night ride up to TWO TOP......if its snowing becarefull to mind where the trail entrance was once above tree line.......dangerous but what a rush at night....buffalo, wolves and all manner of creatures to be seen....stay on the trails at night but you get all groomed before everyone getsup.....then ask the guide to take you ELK LAKE LODGE......tell him to take you to the ravine on the way......you can go up the ravine while highmarking each side while climbing.....its the coolest as you go 100 on the way down and 70 on the way up all the while yer climbing several thousand feet......you'll really like ELK LAKE LODGE.....only accessable by sled in winter

forgot abnout elk lake lodge. when i was out there i was told that night riding was illegal. due to the fact that they groom the trails at night.

AHHAHAHAHHAHAHHA.....ya they tell everyone that.....but the reality is THEY ARE AFRAID TO LET ANYONE DO IT.......you should see them looking out the window when we are in the parking lot with 10 sleds idling at 10:00PM.......they shit.......you see they are worried that they will have to form a rescue party AND ACTUALLY GO OUTSIDE and look for you......they hate that....so they tell you its illegal and most buy that story......but read the rental agreement.....then do what i do.....tell em to......KISS IT NOT ON THE RIGHT, NOT ON THE LEFT, BUT IN THE GROOVE......later

oh ya......1 other clue was this.....SINCE WHEN did you hear it was illeagl to NIGHT RIDE BECAUSE OF GROOMING.....AHHAHAHHAHHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....IN ANY COUNTRY OR STATE.....over in TAILAND i think it is illegal though to ride at night...AHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAA

it sure would suck to meet up with a groomer on a section of trail that had a drop off to ur right and a very steep incline that i couldnt climb.

Here are the pics of my trip.

The image resizing on Photobucket does not do the pictures any justice. The originals are much better viewed on full screen.

Enjoy.
