Here's some interesting weights and measurments. Weights were taken with a Berkley digital fish scale ( as accurate as I could find at the time )

measurements of both pipes were taken in the same locations as indicated by the #'s below

Pipe Weights

DYNOPORT
Black 9lbs
Ceramic 8lbs 15 oz
surprising weights here, thought the ceramic would weigh more compared to the painted pipe but was't what we found

CPI Racing
Black 7lbs 11oz
Ceramic 7lbs 11oz
surprising again , the chrome pipe is identical in weight with the Black CPI Racing pipe

Did the pipes have an internal stinger?
SLED-WERX Racing
Rich mentioned the Dynoport does - I believe a client called on the CPI and theirs didn't, but feel free to call them directly and add whatever information you want.

CPI told me they do not have the internal stinger... wish they offered their pipes in ceramic coated though. Either way, I'll probably give their chrome pipe a shot and see how it goes. I'm a little skeptical on the 9hp from their pipe.. and 4 from rich (dynoport), but anythings possible. I'd be happy if it made the same as rich's but without the internal stinger.

Well, I'll say this Rich does not B.S, so we'll be just as surprised to hear some rider feedback on the CPI kits ( the value is certainly there )

Yeah exactly.. I don't doubt Rich's word at all. I know with his product you are getting a real 4hp.. thats why I'm doubting the 9hp on the CPI a bit (especially without a dyno) but hey.. anythings possible. Id rather have a manufacture give you a real hp number... even if its low, at least it isnt BS then.

agree totally

riches setup seams to work good on the 800r stockers, but in a BB CPI dominates, run both setups

Thanks for adding that - Was a new product we wanted to have in stock down here in the East. Will be interesting to hear customer feedback once these kits get out

put em on a dyno, and hit us with some HP figures!

The measurements of the CPI pipe transitions and expansion chamber in theory should give more mid and bottom power....

However, having an internal stinger in one and not the other changes everything when comparing them measurements, as the design and flow is drastically altered...

The only figures that mean anything until compared on a dyno, is the weight..... of the pipe, and your wallet....

someone will have to grab a set and dyno I guess, we brought a few sets in due to the positive reviews over on DOOtalk

two black pipe combo pipe/silencer/intake kits remain - call for out the door pricing

So on a totally stock 08 800xp,a dynoport y - pipe,at 175 bucks and 3 hp now add his pipe for say 350 bucks and another 4 hp he claims, although it sounds kinda low,but if it pulls more top end that would be fine, and keep noise levels toward stock sound, its a sold deal, for a total 7hp,now how about someones head with the combo just mentioned, like chcckaroo's,he claims another 5 hp,so am i to believe these 3 components togeather add up to 12hp on top end,or as most advertise midrange hp,most of us want max hp at max rpm,so if at full shift it runs 8200 rpm's that is where i want most of my 12hp i just installed. Oh ya do the total sum of these add on's require jetting up? Someone must of added these components last year, and have some feedback.. Thanks Pete
