does any one now who makes a purple helix fo cats i have one in sled but someone ground th ename off?

We have a purple one. It came in a kit from P.S.I. Honestly I haven't seen them in that colour from any other companies, so that's likely what it is.

If it's anodized purple then machined, it is likely Black Magic. I think that some of D & D's helixes may have been as well. FYI

The cpr 62-54 is purple, which was and still is a poplular zr9 helix. BM helix's are usually black. D&D helix's are typically dalton cuts and silver.

All Dalton helixes I've got are Gold ....R2R

I have a purple D&D helix in my sled. Now. They probably took the numbers off so other people cant see the angles. I did the same to mine. Who did you get it from?

Goodwin had some purple ones too.

Micro Belmont makes Purple Helixes
Daltons are Gold.
Erlandson are plain Aluminum
Formax are plain aluminum
Black Magic are Black
PSI used Dalton and some Micro Belmont but alot of Daltons the past 10 years

I've had purple anodized from Erlandson and Micro-Belmont. Black Magic cuts Goodwins helixs and than Goodwins send them out for purple anodizing also.

As far as Goodwins using Black Magic to cut their helixes, I dont think so. Black magic only Deals or used to only deal with Cat stuff. Goodwin makes clutch kits for all of them and Black magic definately dont make Helix's for doos and Polaris secondaries. For the longest time Black magic would recut cast cat OEM cams(helix).

Most places just use Microbelmont and Daltons because thats the cheapest way to go and they dont have to buy the machinery to cut them or the bulk aluminum to cut them. They can tell them exacly how they want them cut and then buy in bulk.
