I have to admit that I like it.

I have a F7 ext with a 144" track and for my style of riding I would not go back to a shorty.

It would be nice to get the weight of this. But Kudos to yammi. Should have done this right away!!

Glad they came out with the 144". I'll probably pop for one next year and put a bottle on it since there is no way for this sled to hit 100mph with that much track on it. The weight doesn't bother me at all at 542 it about the same as my current sled and that can be thrown around quite easily. Don't know how I'll like the cold factor though.

Just curious, didn't Polaris do this on a switchback a few years ago? How did that work out? Why did they switch back to a 136?

I think that thing looks sexy, nice specs too. yes.gif

I'd kind of like to know if all the Nytro owners out there are finding that small tank to be sufficient?
snow...where?
With the 144" you think you would be in an area lacking 'gas stations'.... Why the 7 gallon tank??
Quite a bit of 'talk' over the past year about the tank size. Lots of people would be happy with a few extra gallons......

Yes, Polaris did that for a few years. It worked really well, both on and off trail, but there was a perception that it was too biased to off-trail, too much of a short RMK rather then a long XC. The magazines never stopped bitching about it. Funny thing, the year after Polaris changed to a 136 I read an article in a magazine about how a 136 is not enough to play in the deep stuff, and there should be crossovers with more track.

true but its not meant to play in deep powder, that is what a mountain sled is for. What is the difference from the xtx and the 144 mountain sled? the lug size and a tipped up track? I don't like that it takes up so much room. I can't get this sled and it it in my garage and trailer with the other sleds in it. So basicly, Yamaha has 2 144 nytros.

Mountain sleds have narrower front ends.

How do you figure 2-144's? The Nytro MTX is a 153........

Ok, then that is my mistake. I am not a yamaha guy but liked the nytro. I didn't realize the mtx was a 153. Still, I think its a big gap between 121 and 144.

I was out with a friend this weekend and I love the Nytro. I'm a Doo and Cat guy but I am really thinking on a Yamaha next year!
