From Manitoba coming to Revelstoke in March, wondering what a good setup would be for an 07 summit 800. Any suggestions would be great as this is a different sled from the last one I took out am looking for some advice to make her run like it should.

Well I have the same sled, I am not sure whether you mean suspension, or clutching, or just overall setup, but as long as all the updates have been done, you should be pretty much good to go for clutching, it should be geared and setup correctly from stock being a mountain sled, once my updates were done, I have not touched my clutch.

As for suspension, I am 210 lbs and have my front shocks set in the middle, a tad more on the softer side, my rear shock is setup for my recommended weight, and the limiter strap is one from the loosest setting, but I have also installed drop down brackets which gives me an extra 2" tunnel clearance and put more weight on the skis and that is the reason I put my limiter strap on pretty loose, but before I had the drop down brackets installed I had it set near the middle, and it seemed pretty good, just enough ski lift going up the steeper climbs, but it didnt trench either.

Hope this helps, bring or rent avy safety equiptment, and have a blast!

Thanks for the help X-guy I was mostly concerned about correct weights for the clutch. I have left everything stock except for a can so I guess there is nothing really to change. Also wondering if you know of a place to rent avalanche equipment at or near Revy. thanks again.
