Hope someone can give me some info. I live just south of Port Huron, MI and have a no road cottage on nine mile lake. I try to get up there a couple of times in the winter, but haven't been yet this year. Was wondering if the lake was frozen and safe to run, as that is the only way to get to my cottage. Want to come up Feb 15th for four days. If anyone knows the conditions i would appreciate it.

Thanks
Yukon Cornelious

It's frozen but not staked , I rode across it on Saturday February 2nd. It was slushy in spots but for the most part a beautiful ride. If you know the lake have fun otherwise use at your own risk.

That's strange, I rode Nine Mile on Sunday the 3rd, It was staked. Turtle lake and all the rest of the lakes south of it to Swift were not staked, but Nine Mile was. Regardless, the ice was definately good.

Whoops your right Click to view attachment ! Nine Mile was the first lake we rode and it did have stakes . Bad memory Click to view attachment was having to much fun riding without all the weekend traffic we usually see.

thanks for the info. i thought it would be good, but the weather here has been crazy. The bay of lake st. clair i live on has just last week frozen over for the first time.

Yukon I think I saw you again on the trail without knowing it. I was stopped at the beginning of 17 at the fork at c101b having some lunch with 4 other sleds and saw 3 fourstrokes and trail patrol on a twostroke heading south on 17.

Yup that was me and our club president and a couple of others out for a real good ride. I was riding my wifes long track that day because I was'nt sure what we'd be riding in. Cripes I should have grabed that bag of chips from your hands as I passed by. The ride got a little hardcore after that, swamps , lakes , breaking trail. Awesome day for a ride, PM me sometime and we'll hook it up.
