If ya get a Yamaha watch the power valves, if you get a SeaDoo look at everything. Kawasaki makes the most reliable jetski IMO.

I have a Yamaha.. so I am not being biased. I haven't heard much good about the Polaris... but I can't say I've heard a lot of bad either.

The early Polaris watercraft had alot of problems but most had the updates done by the dealer. If you are dead set on a Polaris I would try to get a newer one but as was mentioned, take a look at the other brands.

I have an older yamaha 94 and polaris 98. The yamaha has been very reliable, the polaris has had issues. I believe the next ones will be Kawasaki or Sea doo

I've had lots of doo's and motor's were always probs as well as general issue's. Have had 3 Polaris's and no probs. Currently have a 98 SLXH, and 03 MSX 140. But reality is they don't make them anymore, as good as they were. Here's a link to a great pwc forum.
