Some Buddies Went But He Popped His ZR800 @ Blizzard Hills So He Didn't Finish. Sounded Like A Great Time!!

Still waiting for State Farm to call me. I called yesterday to try to rattle them.
All they could tell me was its now in the total loss department.
And there suppost to call me. So, I hope its soon!

National value of my sled was $5660.00
They added $400.00 for my studs/can/SLP air box/ and the reprograming of my CDI box
(sence it was done all last year)
Added sales tax $363.60
Added registration $22.00
Comes to $6445.60
Less my $500.00 deductable
$5945.60
Owed the credit Union $2526.58
Me $3419.02
Bought my sled back for $1600.00
$1819.02 to put down on a new 2009 sled.
And start the cycle all over again. WITHOUT the totalling part!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sounds pretty fair to me. however, with the price of gas these days, you should have alearted them to the fact that it had a full tank of gas in it.

depends on how much the 2008's go down in price and how good the 2009's look. And the price factor in that also.
If the 2009's look good...I'd love to snag one up.
My brother in law is buying the sled off me for what I bought it for.
So now I have $3400.00 to put a nice down payment down on a new sled.
So we will see what works out.

He was awesum in the price range i wanted to go with. Found my sled alittle cheaper downstate and he sharpen his pencil to keep me local!
Roland at Linwood bumped his head for pricing, would'nt deal so Stevens got the bid!

X2 on Linwood. I like the guys at Linwood. However, their philosophy on new sled pricing is out there. The exact same sled sat on their floor for 18 months over a $300 difference from two down state deals in writing. How much interest do you think they paid over that same period.

I'll start shopping around for sure. My intrest at the credit union for my loan was only 4.5% on my sled.
So I'm actually taking the money to pay off the credit cards, and go from there. I'll start
saving some money, and see what happens.
I want to peek at the 2009's 1st, then see who wants to deal. I'd rather pay the 4.5% interest then the 10-15% intrest on the credit cards. Its just smart money.
So, I think it will all work out for the best.

I rode from the dnr launch near the mouth to just past the island yesterday to do some ice fishing. There is still a lot of ice but absolutly no snow. The ice is like a sheet of glass. I need to get some scratchers.

same conditions on the kawkawlin. great ice skating & ice boating conditions.

Try Weiss Equipment in Frankenmuth also. I dont think you will find a better out the door price than Stevens. The Skidoo's are at dealer cost, no prep or freight. If they do the same with Polaris, they will be hard to beat.

There was a lot of racing Sat, Sun. I could here them from the house. Had a buddy on a blue Yammi Turbo clean house Sunday. I think he might be the new KING of the Kawkawlin. A lot of slammed picked out sleds, so I was told.

yeah and I was stuck home with the flu! sucks big time!! I would have loved to been out there and watched!
Next year I'll have a HCS banner....and we all can park together! LOL!!

banner is a good idea. or how about getting some chalk ( in liew of spray paint ) and mark a section of castaways seawall as "hcs members parking only"

I love to Bass fish!!!!
Dont really boat just to cruise, we like to fish.

then you will need to stop by my dock this summer. we consistantly hammer the large and small mouth. and have a croppie bed at the end of the dock. plenty of gills and perch to fill up the time between landing the hogs.
we will have to hook up ( pardon the pun ).......just make sure to stay online here during the summer.

rode out of State Park today on that new 1/4" snow today. Bay is still good as far as you want to go. Up the Kaw to 1-75, and back and forth to linwood a few times. Any fresh snow would make for another week of riding easy. Hope it doesn't rain.

just south of the lagoon on the west side. im sure you have seen that huge itiallian designed two story with the pilliars? will im next to it - the redwood bi-level.( bay windows with green trim all across the top ) keep my 26 ft deckboat and vintage 19ft sailboat out front.

ice fisherman went through the ice on the saginaw river last night. ( near independance bridge ). if your still venturing out there, please be careful.

wow.....A LOT of open water on the river!! Be careful!!!
Plus it looks like the river current is flowing pretty good.

i real shame about the guy from saginaw that passed away. seems every year people seem to push the envolope of safety.
yeah, im right next to norm. he's a good guy but i rarely see him or his new wife. since he got the place up north, we see less and less of him.
kinda sucks during the lawn season. im between a 70 year old who mows 4 times a week and norm with his own personal greenskeeper - then me, the white trash in the middle. of well, someones gotta do it.

i cant wait to get the boat in the water and head downstream to castaways and the tiki bar.

on the way to work this morning, i saw about 3 people fishing on the bay. the ice cant be that good anymore.

I do not understand Ice fishermen,Sitting on a bucket hoping for some action while the Ice melts around you. I could see setting up a few tip-ups and taking of on my sled or atv and come back every hour or so to see if ya got something.

Pretty nice show for free! The new poo's suspension is wicked! Gonna take alittle bit to get use to the "matt" finish on the white hoods on the dragons, but over all a very nice package!
