So this is my first winter in Ontario and I just dont know how you guys do it. I am an emotional wreck!! Fisrt we have huge snow then its gone then its good again then its gone.

My wife says I should see a shrink because I am becoming impossible to live with. I dont even want to get my hopes up about the snow they are forcasting but at least its a glimmer of hope.

Lets all pray this f'in rain stays away and the snow comes with a vengence(sp).

We all feel the same way, I think your going to see an awful amount of sleds for sale this year, unless things shape up next year I am getting back into bikes again, I would rather be moody for 2 months and riding for 8-9 than this crap.

I'm blaming it on all the stuff we've been doing to save the enviroment .......... jeez back in the day before tofu, catalytic converters and rampant freeion use we had awesome winters

oh mazda, your leaving our amazing sport! i guess i dont blame you but i would never. ive been on bike boats sea doo's atv's dirtbikes dune buggies go karts mopeds and so on and i have never had as much funa as i have had on my snowmoible. if you get out of it you better get of this site cuz u'll be back into it in no time with all the talk about sleds lol. its comin back AGAIN!! but atleast once this freezez tongith we will have a base then 15cm more ontop tomorrow will be very good!

think of it like being in vancouver, even when its +6 and raining, there is always snow up in the "mountains" (hills) of Ontario. go north!!

I do need a ride bad, I wanted to go Sunday, but know one wanted to come out and play with me. .......but luckly I am leaving Friday Morning for 4 days in Burks Falls. I am going to ride until I can't ride no more, so if winter ends next week, I will have had my share and won't care after that.

Until the following Thursday when it wears off.

Welcome to Ontario!! LOL!!

First of all welcome back to Ontario. I must say that all these recent events are out of the norm. A good melt once a winter is normal but 3?

Sleddin in Southern Ontario without a trailer is not a good idea. Last year I had to move my new moon sled trip to the Bruce Pennincula, as that is where the best snow was.

But it is all relevent based on location. These melts while not good for the southern trials have not reached all the way to Manitoba. Burks falls did not even get a melt yesterday, and they only got a bit of drizzel. I would think someone from up past North Bay would be saying "what melt?". Snow fall paterns continue to shift, and some northen areas do not get the snow they have in past years.

IF you use a trailer you should be able to get 2000,or 3000km on each season. Keep up the hope and get out and ride!!! There will be a early starting late finishing winter with less melts comming soon to a theater near your ;>

What rain are you guys talking about? We didn't get any, and we never got above zero here all day, so much for the doomsday sayers predicting +10 today!! Got about 3cm of snow last night, then a bit of freezing rain/drizzle early this am, but the trails are awesome, a bit fast so be careful in the corners!!! Supposed to get another 5 cm of snow tomorrow and now they are calling for snow on Fri and Sat!!! Gotta ride, cya!!
