at my local dealer they have a used tnt for 6500 with e start a good deal it has 400 miles on it. any problems with these sleds besides the handwarmer any serious problems? how is the suspensions? would this sled keep up or beat an 05 sdi? whats the top end on these and what are you guys getting for gas mileage? not too worried about gas but im curious if the lighter weights means better gas thanks for the input

that is a ok deal i got a non e start for 6700 .I have 1100 miles on mine and zero problems at all it will go 100 mph on the speedo on hardpack and it is quick, not the fastest out there but plenty fast to have fun on.it rides great and i get about 15 mpg and i use alot of oil.I like this sled alot for the money you will not find a better sled

1000 mi. on mine ,no major problems. I came off an 800 REV. This sled is just as fun,if not more. These sleds are REAL quick. I average 16.5 mpg in the tight twisties, and 18.5 on wider, more open trails. My oil usage is good (after all adjustments are made, sled will be wicked) Rear skid performs well (again, after adj. are made)(oh,and I weigh @250) ... ride, handels the best yet!! I dont get much top end (had it to about 92mph (on speedo))(again,my weight might be a factor, but I think this sled deff. has at least 100mph in it regardless of weight,I'm still adjusting)..... but it accelerates HARD !!

You cannot beat this sled, good value, great fuel/oil milage, and SUPER FUN to ride!!

Pretty good sled. I have 1400 miles on mine and only had a minor primary clutch problem, but the dealer fixed me right up. Seat foam is crap. Starts off firm, flattens out and goes limp like an old mattress after a thousand miles. Rear suspension is just o.k. though. It's not as good as the Firecat I had last year. Power is as good as any 600 on the snow. 17 to 18 mpg. Hand warmers are actually too hot even on low, so I don't use em. Rear wheels worry me.
But the light weightness make this sled a fun ride. You'll want to put a higher windshield on it though. I'd buy another if BRP changed a few things. Go for it.

DooinVT, what kind of suspension settings are you using? I weigh about the same as you, and I am still trying to figure this sled out yet.

Thanks!

Front shocks on "3", center shock about 2/3 hard, rear springs on "4" and got the blocks on "2". I left my strap in factory position.I only bottom the center out in the bigger/deeper moguls .....I pound on it pretty good sometimes, but not all day long, and also have not taken any "big" jumps with it.(I think I've only had it up about 5' in the air so far)
The rear dosnt seem to bottom, unless you land on your wheels (wich is also the reason I think they are breaking,I havnt broken any yet) the front seems to be just right, and I"m happy with the center. It rides great and hadles near perfect(still running stock carbides)(also, not running any studs) This setup works for me,and most who have ridden my sled, have been quite comfortable w/this setup also. Its a trail sled(I would even say,"rough trail" sled) not a sno-cross sled (in stock form anyway) it takes the abuse when I want to hammer(tight,twisty35-50mph,moguled out trails),and is sweet to "cruise" with (60-80 mph, wide, smooth, less twisty trails"northern"). I agree with the taller windshield......if you ride below 10F,and ride with any amount of speed (30mph +) you will get chilly(chest/hands,get cold). I"m adding a mid-shield........

Running pretty much same set up except i've only got my center shock cranked up 1/2 way. Might try and crank it some more. Only bottoms on the biggest holes. Could be a tad smoother on the stutter bumps.

Are the shocks on the front and rear rebuildable?

i just put the mid windshield on with the side deflectors, had to remove hand gaurds but it is well worth it.it was below 0 by the time i got home last night and with the new hand warmers and windshield i was comfy.

can you wheelie and climb snowbanks easier than with the "heavier" sleds like the revs polaris' etc

Your blizzard would have gotten buried in a 3ft snow bank? Ouch....
