When adjusting the belt deflection, how much force do you push down on the belt with the bar on across the clutches? Do you push down until you can push no more? This would obviously be different for different people. Do you push with 10lbs force? My dealer said push down until the bottom return part of the belt moves up. When I do that, I get a delflection of 0.8 inches. If I push down full force, I get the 1.25 inches. Any recommendations?

I was wondering the same thing.

Adjust the deflection screw out until the belt just starts to squeal at idle, then adjust the screw in until the squealing stops.
This really need to be done with the belt warmed up.

the best way is to have it on a stand, warm up the belt.

adjust ur tension on ur secondary clutch to were the track just wants to move while up on the stand.

I feel this is the best way because if you have to back the adjustment screw out (decrease deflection) the belt wont move much until the track rotates a few times. If you adjust deflection then hoist the sled into the air and wack the throttle a couple times the secondary will be able to move the belt into a higher position on the secondary. Even if you have to turn the screw in to increase deflection you still should hoist the sled up and hit the throttle a couple times so the belt will move into a more accurate position to be measured.

Where is the adjustment screw and what does it look like?

There is a 7/16" or 9/16" (can't remember) jam nut on the side of the secondary. Inside of the nut is a 1/8 hex screw for adjusting the sheaves either closer together or further apart.

Full force down on the belt.

Was told two weeks, which should be this Friday biggrin.gif . I have the feeling other 755 owner will like to know what I think after the install.

Hey Pockets. When I get the Helix, are there instructions that usually come with it that have torque #s for the bolts? ie) the bolt that holds the secondary on, the bolts that hold the helix in, etc.

Just wrist tighten the screws on the helix. You need a T-27 torx bit, and use an impact driver to pop them loose, or you will strip one or more. The clutch holding bolt just wrist tight as well. Using a ratchet and socket.
