Just watched the forecast, oh yeah, snow is coming tomorrow. Still hedging over the amounts, but calling in the NEK up to a 1/2 FOOT, at least. May mix with some freezin rain, but hey, I'll take it......WOULDN'T YOU???? I highly doubt that the Kingdom will see anything but snow.....but glued to the weather, watching and waiting. I am sitting at 3 below right now, and they are saying normal temps for today.....Do the SNOWDANCE.....Please note, I am basing this on the NEK, south may see a mixed bag of tricks. HAPPY TRAILS..... Just got an update here on NECN it says up to 8" in the North Country and possible freezing rain,again i have to say with temps staying in the 20's it will most likely be all snow.Doing the Snow Dance here.

the trails could really use some revival after what they went thru last weekend with the heavy traffic

Soundings support a large sleet event the further east you travel in VT,. and even some ZR, CAD will keep the cold in place on the ground, but when the storm rolls east of the area, it will draw up warm air aloft, changing a lot of the precip to liquid. I still think there will be more on the ground AFTER the storm than before, but dont expect an all snow event with this one, upstate NY will do best with this one as they will be on the west side of the LOW's track. Maine could be even more rain until the low passes north and east of them/us.

Of course this has to happen on the eve of my trip to New Orleans, dammit! Hopefully it'll still be here when I get back next week.

No, I haven't been back there since they changed it all around, and the had a sports bar on one side and dinning on the other. Then they weren't serving at all, then reservation only. I used to know the head cook there, oh it was nice in the summer, have cocktails and desert on the porch. I go over the Wildflower. Went to the Pub Outback, and I wasn't pleased at all. Love the Spa up in Colebrook. You should check it out, plus the ride is sweet.
Waiting anxiously for my sled to get delivered, can't believe the clutch helix busted, cost me more for delivery charges than it did the part, Hoping to be ready to go in a few hours, before all the warriors chew up the trails. You up this weekend???

pub outback has been pretty bad for a while
the tamarack grill is excellent and the river garden is always good.
yea the willowvale is giving the winter a whirl which is good - saves the 20-30 minute drive to derby, east burke or ip
you got the people staying there and a mix of the locals - not a soul at the bar though - ate there three times i like it
that place must be gorgeous in the summer

not coming up this week got a house full for the superbowl and my moms 82nd birthday on saturday.
i think i will be up either tuesday night or weds day

Where did you ride? We were there this past weekend and the trails had held up nice despite the weather last week and we did not see much traffic at all.

Doin the HAPPY DANCE, oh yeah, more snows a comin. I don't understand why the weather works the way it does, this area is in a pocket or something, but if you ride Newark, Brighten, E. Haven head towards Wenlock, Canaan, Norton, Avril, you are Golden, Paul Steam, Lyndonville's trail is sweet, but has high traffic, and it poured there yesterday, but then got cold, I never made it to 25* today, and already at 10*. I got some freezin rain yesterday, but then SNOW. I jump on 58 into Newark, go over Hawk rock, or jump on 114 to IP and go NE. Quick runs, head up to Robins Roost in Westmore, head out of West Burke, and come home Via IP. As of 6:55 pm, STILL CALLING FOR 6+ INCHES OF WHITE SNOW!!!!! Just got my sled back, have to and check it out. Hey Jim, Thank you

the island pond area got hammered as did coming into derby once you got out towards Groton the you saw less and less traffic but by the main hubs it was bad

Well the proof is in the pudding. Thier still calling for 6 inches of snow in the Kingdom, MAY mix with some freezin rain, then kick back over to SNOW!!!! It's a huge storm and the entire state is in a storm warning with major ice and sleet SOUTH of the Kingdom. My temps are hovering at 0 at the moment...........Now we will see what happens. I'll place my bet on most of the NEK being a snow event, with a little mix, BUT THATS IT! WILL SEE. Won't be a good day for riding, as they are calling for winds too. That is later in the day, but a morning ride would be GREAT
Think I will check my sled out, seeing where I didn't get to last night, it was too late by the time I got it back. But she's up and running again, and I am a happy camper........
