Sunday with no destination in mind, we followed trails that were groomed and ended up at Jennifer’s in Derby for breakfast. There were some thin spots on the way but not too bad and we were setting down the first scratches on most. South from there to Willoughby it's miserable! What some would call thin, I'd call dust. Kudos for the clubs that made the best of what they had to work with but it's not worth it at all. Trail 5 from Evensville to the south side of Willoughby had a decent amount of snow but all moguls. Then we hit perfection the rest of the way on 5 south of Willoughby and had a blast into the Burke area - so good we almost turned around to do it again! Quick break at Coles and up 114 back into IP central.
Monday again just kept following groomed trails, making first scratches most of the way into Colebrook. Coming down from the hill in Vermont into Colebrook is ok but there are some spots that are "dust". Had a great breakfast at Howard’s and headed back to IP via a northern route. 105 from 97 and 102 from 105 (powerline) were in tough shape, again "dust" the rest of the way in was good. Best part of the day was racing back and forth on the pond in the afternoon. Mrs. Crazed's TNT dash switched from MPH to Km for no reason at all this weekend. She was sooo sad when I told her she wasn't going 160MPH but rather 160 KmH.
Some good, some bad, still did almost 300 miles.
