Has any one had problems trying to shift into reverse or forward? I usually have to get off the machine and lift the back end in order to get to shift in gear.

I bought one of these last March. I've noticed it can be hard to shift too. What seems to work is to pull the brake lever hard, then hit the button and *lightly* rev the engine. It helps if you swear at it, too... my problem is that yesterday I rode it seriously for the first time. Covered 206 miles with a passenger, and the front shocks didn't seem to set aggressively enough. I could apply throttle in the middle of a turn and easily pull the outer ski right off the ground. The owner's manual shows how to adjust the spring tension, but it doesn't say whether to harden the springs, or soften them, and we were too busy trying to pile on the miles to stop and play with it. Have you done much suspension adjustments on yours? Any advice would be very appreciated (BTW, I was slightly annoyed that the dealership I bought this from isn't open on Sundays in Winter. I would think the weekends would be the best days to sell).

i have aventure mp as i have had problems shifting too. First of all the sled will be hard to shift when its cold and the rpms are still up.get your dealer to check rpms iI THINK IT should be between 1800-1900 .also another thing is when your belt starts to wear in there will be less tension or in other words the belt will be slacker therefor letting the sled shift easier. In the mean time try rocking the sled from side to side when putting it in reverse.PS iam the guy with the wistling/screeching noise coming from venture mp .
