i have a 80 cc sno scoot it floods with fuel runs great when the fuel is shut off till the bowl runs dry then dies

i have changed the needle and seat and float bowl have lowered the level in the bowl with the float hight but still floods

any advise or should i throw the carb in the barrell

maybe the float itself has become pourous from old age and actually doesnt float

drop it in some gas and see if it floats

i replaced the float and needle and seat took the carb off 5 times to drop the fuel level in the bowl nothing changed a yamaha dealer told me unbolt the carb crak it and see if the fuel comes out the carb thn i will know if itsd the carb or another issue

is there a fuel pump on that machine????

Take the choke out and make sure it is not sticking mine did that I used some emory cloth on it and works like new

Only 3 possibilites here....

1)needle and seat bad/not sealing properly(if you used an aftermarket cheap needle and seat they often are garbage and leak)
2)gas has shit in it like little pieces and those pieces are getting jammed up between the needle and seat and holding it open
3)float is incorrectly set. (most floats made within the past 20 years or so dont have the porus problem where they injest or hold fuel, plus it would feel heavy and very noticeable, not to mention it woul be leaking out gas while holding it)

Its one of those 3.

do you now the size of needle a seat you had in it and the size you put back in. if it 1.5 it two big you should have 1.0 I had a had time fine out the right size to use and I had a Genuine Yamaha service manual
