Just wanted to let everyone know that after all 08 updates were done I had a chance to test the cold weather starting issue. We were at the cabin and the thermo said -43 degrees celcius. Put the key in and fired up with no hesitation at all. It ran awesome and was a blast in the 2 feet of powder we got.

I am not trying it to start today because it is -53 degrees celcius right now with the wind chill.

Glad to hear that the FST's are now starting better at COLD temps.
All the positive comments are making my decision to buy another FST alot easier....maybe.
FUSIONPOWER
just below -20 f here last week and i started mine to see if it would start, and it fired right up.
trottle
thats good.
FSTRon
Mine has started twice at around 10 below zero.
trottle
- 16 no problem
lukester
-28 F Went to start them. The FST SWITCHBACK grunted twice and poped right off.
The FST IQLX had the starter drive kick out a couple times. On the third try it also grunted twice and fired up.
There were a lot of sleds with the hoods up changing plugs etc...... Im happy.

Funny there was a time early on that i thought i'd never buy another FST but looking back at it i never really had any type of disabling problem with my 2006 and now with the 08 update i can say this sled is everything i had hoped it would be when i bought it. Mine is still a little heavy on the steering but the ride and acceleration is awesome now. It's a very fast sled for the first few hundred feet, especially with the overboost. I'll probably buy the next generation of this sled without hesitation.

Wait till you ride a 08 or newer. I cant believe the difference in performance although I only have 5 miles on it. Should be over 1800 in a couple weeks and will have a better feel. I will dfinately be revalving the skid shocks next year.
