I had a 1.5" paddle track at the beginning of the year that I had on my old sled and was going to put on my new one. I knew I needed studs of some sort, was looking into those as well. I went with the studs because I had heard problems with durability, also, depending on how big your track is, if it's the soft paddles that fold over, people say they dont do anything. You also need tons of them in order to get the same bite as fewer studs. Not to rain on your parade but all the research I did showed they weren't highly recommended. Now I have an 1.25" track and 144 studs in the center, I don't do as well in the powder, but it's a ton better on the roads, and I'd rather be able to go 100 down ice controllably then show off more in the powder. I won't kill myself if I wipe out in the powder
