Just curios if any one has raced?

I haven't seen either race each other but I can give the vegas odds or theories. XF should have the holeshot because of lower gears and more track to hookup but the F should pass it slowly once moving and definitely have it on top end. Assuming of course both machines are running exactly how they should and both drivers are exactly the same, neither of which ever happens lol.

I saw 110 mph on radar this weekend in 2000 ft.
There was an f1000 that did 114 mph.

In 660ft stock sled to stock sled the x-fire will win. The 1000 needs the extra track to hook up. top end run i can see it being very close.

I think it would depend a lot on the snow conditions. On a perfect hard packed, the CF would only have a slight advantage out of the hole and the F would catch it between 60-75 mph. In deeper/looser snow it may take to 90-100 mph to catch up. Similair results to F7 sp vs. F7 std. The smaller track would almost always have the the top end advantage.

My buddy had a loner 07 f-1000 that I raced on a lake.(His f-1000 is faster than that one). There was about a foot of soft powder so I killed him out of the hole probably got 4 sled lengths on him right away, after that he was staying in that same spot behind me in the midrange. And on top he had a little more even in that powder but was only gaining on me slow. Were both getting the new reflash done this Thursday and we are hopefully gonna get a chance to race on hardpack(there will be an apex there also). I do know for a fact he has a good 6 - 8 mph on me in top end though in good conditions.

Stock vs stock.
The CF1000 is significantly faster than the F1000. I have first hand experience with this on a repeated race basis.
07 CF1000 vs '07 F1000. On GPS, I have 5mph more speed. out of the hole, it's about 3 sleds to 500 ft.

I could see the crossfire being faster on hard pack or snow. On Ice the f1000 might be faster? I dont know the differance in gearing between the two. My son has a stock 07 crossfire 1000 it seems be pull my 2003 zr 900 from 60-90mph we have not ran them flat out. They are pretty close.

I got to race my friends 08 F1000 SnoPro vs my 07 M1000 153 std, we started at like 30mph, we were dead on even all the way to like 95ish mph and he started to creeep away but realllly slow but still was right on his ass like 5ft apart. I only could get 99mph out of the M1000, he can get 105.
They are amazingly close in speed in the mid-range!!!lol. extremely fast machines, 0-100 is very good on both. mine just doesn't like to go past 105 at all.. probably a good thing for me!! I think a speed limiter on my f1000 is a good thing for my safety and the safety of others!
fun ride today walleye!!

They both have the same stock gearing 55/34T
For some reason, the F1000 stock out of the box cannot get the power to the ground from start to top end. The x-fire will pull it out of the hole and beat it on top end. We've scratched our heads for a while on this: They've got the same engines, same gears, same clutching, their even the same color if that matters to you

. F1000 has shorter track (should be top speed advantage). The difference has to lie in the position of the weight and the suspensions ability to get it to the ground. The F1000 is a little heavier and the one I was racing has electric start.

the f-series is no lake racer chassis.. Hopefully, cat corrects this next time around..

The F-series rides better than any cat ever produced before. Better than the cross fires, better than the ZR, better than the firecats. That's the extent of the innovation. I don't care for the styling, the weight sucks, the performance sucks.
I think it's ridiculous when a 2003 firecat F7 is knocking on the door of a 2007 F1000

I dont know how accurate the speedos are on the 07 crossfire my son has had his up to 111 mph. After reading on this forum how slow the diamond drive is on the new cats I was surprised to see how good his would go.My stock 03 900 zr would run 110 on hard pack with stock gears. Seems like we are even on top end but he has a stonger midrange.

My 03 f7 would blow the doors right off my f1000 on top end but you couldn't give that pos firecat back to me for nothing..lol. they used a tin foil chassis with a $25 belt to make them go fast in 03. it was fun but I like quality.reliability and good ride as well as power...
cat is coming out with a firecat crowd pleaser for 09 from what I hear?? I might get one if it has the right stuff... will see on march 12th. reps have been riding them already.

thats not totally correct the x-fire1000's are geared lower than the f1000.......
07xf1000- 65/55 gears
07f1000 - 66/54
you can do the same mods to both and in most cases the f1000 is always going to have more top end....i geared the crap out of my crossfire and it just hits a wall as far as MPH.....i believe its in the attack angle of the track and rotating mass. My f1000 with 217hp ran well over 120mph, my x-fire with 225ish @ the same rpm hits a wall @ 115 give or take 2......dunno....get a turbo maybe???

why in the world is my 08 f1000 sp so slow on top... 105 just seems wrong. so I talk to a sled/clutch pro down the road from me and he said he seen the 105 top speed f10's before and everything was working ok.. he says he can put on a different belt(?) and tweek the clutching and get a couple more mph out of it and after that you need to throw cash at the motor ETC>....
I'm confused..but then others say they have box stock f10's that do the teens out of the box. lol
and now we see the x fires run faster then f out of the crate and even walleyes m1000 is side by side with me up to upper 90's.. didn't expect that.

115mph can be accomplished out of a stocker fairly easy......little more weight, change the secondary around a bit, couple bullseyes, and some wheels in the right spots.

On hard pack or Ice the F1K should be faster, with some minor tweaks and proper clutching 117+ is a reality. But put them in the fluff or loose snow and the CF should win, not totally due to traction, but mostly due to how much weight the F1K carries on the ski's, really scrubs off a lot of speed. The CF should be more consistent in different snow conditions.

I was told the the XFIRE 1000 and the m1 have a differnt setting for the fuel injection. I runs leaner than the f1000 because it set-up for higher elevations.
That is why you have to put a boondocker on the crossfire and the m1 when you add a y-pipe, and not the f1000. This is good for approximately 10 hp according out of the box according to D&D.

what is this new 09 crossfire 1000 128x14 going to run like?? will it too hit a wall at a 115 mph with 225 hp??
