Polaris Kid XCR 700
I rode in the UP this past week with other guys leading, (5 of us) I was last in the group with my 121 inch xcr track with 1 inch lugs. 2 to 3 feet of snow and had to be careful when I stopped not to get stuck. If I buy an FST switchback 08 model, am I going to haf ta worry about getting stuck much or will they break trail in fresh powder ok. The new suspension is only 136 inch, how will it work? (Rode with an 08 Apex and Nytro, they both got the same milage as my 700 11 mpg.)

Give me some info on the FST switchback please. Thanks

Hey Polaris - I live in the mountains of North Idaho - I've got an 06 switch. It has a 144 track with 1.25" lugs. We've got about 2-3 feet of snow on the ground and about half of that is fresh. I use my sled to run all over my land - a tree farm on a mountainside, checking the water level in our spring, sometimes using it to get us in and outta here (we live on a Forest Service road - it don't get plowed, unless I do it); and usually that happens when there is a lot of slush - foot or more of it. No problems with the deep stuff, even when its slush.

I am not an experienced sledder - this is my first sled, second season. So I hope the experts will chime in. I've very nearly gotten stuck a time or two, but the monster always powers its way out.

With 13feet on snow on the ground! I have had no problems yet with getting it stuck to my amazement. It's really well balanced for going in the fluffy stuff grinning-smiley-023.gif You shouldn't have a problem at all.

Between Yesterday and today we are supposed to get 18 inches of snow. grinning-smiley-023.gif I've been out the day after when it's been 16inchs and not worried at all.

I think the weight actually help this sled. Unlike the yamaha! My friend has an Vector and he's always stuck! Same with a guy who had a Apex LTX.

The Ski's on my FST work great. The track is 1.25 ice claw I do a lot of river running all work well.
