hey guys. so i went to my first race yesterday and i heard that the semi-pro and pro riders had to have this transponder on their sleds. i have no idea what the hell this is. can anyone enlighten me with this. thanks
jdesign
It's to track your lap time. I believe you only need it if your running a national race.
I heard you can get the tunnel grippers from your local Polaris dealer... not sure if thats true.
I'm also looking for them.

A transponder is a device used to score racers the most accurate way. There is a sensor at the finish line that records when each sled passes and how many times. It also is a way of recording lap times for the racers sake.

I dont see why you want one, they only use them for pro's and semi pro's at RMR...its not like anyone who uses them can get their lap times... just my $.02
Prox 268
This year they are required for pro & semi-pro only in RMR. Next year, all classes will be required to use them.

$25 rental fee, $250 purchase price. Purchase or rent depending on how many races you will do.
