And those same people saying snowmobiles kill. Are the same ones you see blow past you on the highway talking on there cell phone and eating a cheese burger. They have no clue, of course theres people that do unlawful things on a sled. Evey sport has people that are idiots and dont fallow the rules.
The snowmobile industry brings alot of money into MN.
If they think sledders are bad, they should spend some time on the lake in the summer. Holly shit, theres some dumb/dangerous stuff going on out there.

I agree with them on ONE thing, The drinking and riden on a sled is a very dangerous thing to do! I being one that dosent drink and NEVER will on a sled, bike, car, wheeler all of which i ride and ride hard will never agree with people drinking and driving! Things happen too fast out there in the trees to have your reaction times slowed or impaired. I have ridden with people that have been drinking too much and i hate it! If i know they are going to be drinking I usually will excluded myself from even going. I dont want to be the one that comes around a corner and finds a friend dead rapped around a tree, all because they had to drink and ride. In the past situations have come up where the people i ride with have gotten shitfaced riden and i let them go ahead of me and its there choice what is going to happen to them, at least they are not going to take me with them into a fast corner doing something stupid because THEY decided to drink. I have a friend in the hospitial right now as we speak because he was wasted riden a sled, It sucks to see a friend in his condition and it could have been avoided if he had made a better choice than jumping on his sled when he knew he was going to be drinking. After all his pain he is going through i hope he will make some better desisions in the future. He is VERY lucky he has a future ahead of him as it is. No Names on this one but im sure he will read this on here!
As for the rest of what they are saying, You are going to always find a few people in any sport that are going to do stuff others dont like but thats life!

I'd love to see a comparison of snowmobile deaths involving alcohol to automobile deaths involving alcohol.
Anti-snowmobilers make me sick. Tourism, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, four wheeling, etc is what helps drive our economy up here in Northern Minnesota. These people who are complaining have no idea what it truly does for them, possibly provide some sort of income, or a tax break.
I guess because of a few we snowmobilers are labeled as "Bad People".

I just loaded that sucker up. Mainly rules and regs for Minnesota. And some opinion. Same as always, you got some loud mouths from both sides that are ill informed. If that thing was on t.v., it would be segment on COPS.

I have never taken a non-rider out and not returned with out a smile on their face. I think it is important for us to introduce new people to our sport every chnce we get, that is how we'll get a better reputation. I would bet all those ngative posters have never been on a sled.

Amazing how the anti sled/atv crowd feels its ok to make up bounty's and traps to stop the sledders. Most of the stuff on there is just ignorant.....

Snow jam in Shakopee was a good thing. Very former snomobilers, and people who just wanted to try it out came out there. Take a ride on a new sled for $1 or a non-perishable food item. I don't know if it sold any sleds or not, but it made the news. There were always wanna be racers that came out, raised hell, forfeited their donation, and were asked to leave.
I think I will link this to the general forum. Over load that sucker. It turned too gay.
