I just got a MXZ 500 1998. How fast does the engine typically rev to and how fast does it go breaking trail in a stubble field? Thanks.

I have an 01 MXZ 500 and on a groomed trail it maxes at about 8000 rpm (manual states that) which is around 100mph. Its got a little more throttle left but you always run out of room. Now for fresh snow the most iv'e had it in was around a foot, and it floated pretty decently.I have the SC-10 suspension, being a 98 you would have to check yours. If you want I can get you some pics. There are tons of appearence things you can do to the sled.

Go to Ranch Rudolf, just south of traverse city. Rooms need a little help but great location and nice restaurant bar. Good power lines and trails right off the property. Secluded too.

Rode Fife Lake and Kalkaska for years, great spot. Now I ride in Cadillac area, even better IMO.

Im from Cadillac area I love riding around there even prefer it over the U.P.

I ride Kalkaska, Lakes of the north, Starvation lake, East Jordan, Grayling, Gaylord, Mancelona, Alba etc.. areas. Why do you ask young padawan?
