I sold all my old XLT stuff and bought a 97 xlt limited (reverse). Rides great with the xtra 12 in it. Took it out on the State trail tonite and really liked the ride. The only thing I wonder about is the amount of "darting". Is that something I should get used to or is there a fix?

thanks for any info

To me, the X12's seem to dart more than non-X12 sleds of the day. Lots of guys ran "easy-steers" which seemed to help some, also a little more toe out darted less.

thanks Don, will try easy steer and the toe out.........One other question if you dont mind, it appears that this sled does not have rebuildable shocks. They seem fine but I think I would rather have rebuildables. What would you recommend?

thanks

I have two of these; one does not dart at all, the other I am still sorting out the darting. I have increased the toe out, and that seemed to help some. You might measure your ski's (10 inches front and behind the spindle), make sure you have a good 1/4 inch toe out. Also, the suspension settings can play a role in this - too much ski pressure or not enough can both cause issues.

On the sled that does not dart at all, I have dually carbides. They may also help control darting. (I have easy steer carbides on the one that darts, so that is not the only solution).
Let us know if you resolve it.

Perhaps contact Wahl Bros. and ask what they have for it, they carry a wide variety of different length Fox shocks.
