I am wondering what the trails are like up in the Bemidji area? I am planning a trip on Tues and Wed next week and want to get away from Fargo. If someone could post trail conditions up in that area I would appreciate it.

Does it matter? I just want to get out and ride. Might look at going a bit further east, like Grand Rapids or Duluth???

The trails in the Grand Rapids area aren't to bad. They are a little brown--need more snow.

I think all the trails could use a little snow. Just hope we see some on Tuesday. I hope we don't get the rain they are talking about on Monday also. That will make things even more crappy. Think snow!

A group of four of us rode out of Virginia this past weekend. They need snow. If you go much north or east of there the snow is much better. Friday we rode the Tower, Ely, Matilla's Shelter, Babbitt loop. The snow was better towards Ely. Saturday we rode to Cook, Crane Lake, Elephant lake, back to Cook, and down to the Wooden Table. The Taconite had been groomed Friday night/Saturday morning, but by Saturday night it was pretty choppy and bare in the corners. They need snow. From what we saw from the vehicle there and back, I wouldn't plan any riding west of there until more snow is received.

thanks for the update, with the weather forcast everyone cancelled on me. i hope to make it after this weather system moves thru, just hoping the rain doesn't ruin all the snow.

Please drop an update, we didn't get any snow down by Fargo. It sucks. I talked to someone down by Whapeton and he said trails were ok but the heat took some of the snow. Just hope we can get some measureable snow in Feb. Jan usually doesn't provide much snow. Lets hope we get a late winter blast of about 3 feet.

Its colder than a well diggers ass right now, and windy.
Snow is in the forecast for next weekend. The trails look like hell.

Thanks, I think that's how we all feel. It sucks that every time the forcast snow it never does. We need a good 3 day blizzard again.
