The Canaan,Brighton,Lyndonville clubs did a great job of rolling out the white carpet this past week for all the visiting sledders!!Every trail was flat!My father & I did 400 miles in 3 1/2 days which is pretty good but it was definitely big mileage conditions if anybody cared to do so.Monday& tuesday we saw a total of 8 sleds, beware of deer&moose on the trail!I had a very close call on trail 105 just outside of Canaan village a deer jumped out if front of me,I'm not sure how I did not hit him.Trail 114 A which I call Moose Allley because they always can be seen on this trail, after dark I had a moose take one leap into the middle of very smooth trail and I promptly grabbed the brakes as hard as I could!(studs would be good)...Wednesday we made a loop starting from 142 south, picking up the Yellow bucket trail, trail 1,102,Pipeline.Pipeline had thin snow cover but the flattest I've seen in a long time! We took a lunch break in Burke. After lunch we made a very bad mistake of taking 5N!From Coles service station to OS15 the trails were absolutely destroyed!Gi-normous moguls and huge trees litter sections of the trail and others were hidden beneath the snow,We were happy to reach Brighton!..Trails were outstanding so I didn't stop to take many pics..........my father was looking to win a few games of blackjack but the casino was closed!..lol Click to view attachmentClick to view attachment[attachment=4209
