Thinking seriously about longtracking my 2004 XR. Anybody, know from first hand experience what negative effects might result from switching ProX chasis to 136 track?

Opinions are welcome, even you you don't have first hand experience with the ProX chasis.

Thanks.

What type of riding do you do?

We ride probably one third of the time on groomed trails. Most of the riding is "ditch banging" farm fields, ungroomed woods trails, seasonal roads.

I know I would like the extra flotation in the powder. My question was really what are the negative handling traits I should expect if I make the change. I really love the way the sled rides now, but extra flotation in the powder and extra hookup would be even better, as long as the negatives are not too great.

Do it. For the kind of riding you do, it works perfect, and it makes an already great bump sled even better. I'm picking up my X on Saturday and long tracking it this summer. 136 works perfect on the ProX chassis.
