I know this topic has been beat to death but I do believe that the mileage can be around 13 to 14 mpg if clutched right. My T Cat is unstudded and running 108 in 1000 ''.Got a black magic clutch kit and V Force reeds. What clutch set up do I need to bring the revs down on the trail?

I know you don't want to hear this but...... ya don't buy big power sleds and expect great fuel milage. Ya Gotta Pay to Play!

Well put schmitty!

To go thru a tank fast is fun. The harder the throttle, the faster it goes.
If you are worried about range, strap on a couple of extra cans.

I have been trying to figure this out all season ! What are the specifics to the clutch kit (weights, springs helix etc.) and I'll see if I can help. So far the best I have gotten is 10.9 though.

Like everyone says it is either one or the other.

I am one of the guys that want to get better mileage from a Tcat. I hear all the time "You have the wrong sled for fuel mileage". Well I have two Tcats, my lake sled and a trail sled so I can have one set up for power or mileage. So far this year on my last trip to Quebec I was able to get 12.9 mile per gallon. Do not forget Canadian gallons are a little bigger then what you guys down south have, my set up is as follows.
340 mains with a Tempaflow
stock needle clip
Air screw 1 1/2
Fuel screw1 1/2
60 gram Polaris weighs
DD Teal spring
58 /46 helix
Cat red wight spring.
I an going to raise the clip on the needle but with shims, because the needle is where the mileage hides. But also you have a real good possibility of a meltdown in the mid range . I believe a full clip position on the needle is too dangerous so that is why I will use the shims to go half way.
I would be real interested in what the rest of you guys run.
