Question for anyone that has closed off there tunnels. Has anyone had any plastic melting problems? I just closed mine off and the heat sheild that is under the gas tank with the rubber on it was really hot and I'm not sure if it got that hot before I closed it off or not. Also off that subject if I take off my stab. link do I have to or should I tighten the front shocks? Thanks
zook
Closing it will not melt plastic. Mine is closed and it didn't melt anything.

I have the rear closed (800 mi), just closed in the frt (0miles). I just keep going back to the dirt bike/ 4whlr's they don't have any problems. If your worried buy some aluminum shielding from hardware store and stick it on the backside.

I closed the holes at the front and back of the tunnle on mine and then I cut the sides off that little sheild with the rubber on it, so air can get through there and I have had no problems.

I cut the pice with the rubber off mostly because I saw that the rubber was wearing through the top of my tunnle, and if anyone dose not beleave me I will give pics of the damage next time I take it apart
