Has anyone rode the ITS 84/89 trail from Phillips to Rangeley? Going up tomorrow for the Snodeo and was wondering if I should trailer up Rt 4 more?

Last weekend 89 was in great shape from Phillips to Rangeley. South of Phillips was another story.

Rode out of Farmington and the trails North through Strong onto 84 were in good shape and just kept getting better the farther North you went. Don't take 89N from the Farmington/Wilton area though. Real rough coming over the Mnts.

Tynan i can show you a good flat trail around 89 and that bumpy ass mountain. Doesnt take much longer. Rode from home to rangeley yesterday never hit a bump all day.

Hey ZR, I saw your new sled sitting out front Thurs. Good looking machine for a cat.

Hey ZR I stay in Rangeley and have friends in Chesterville, on Loch Pond. I am planning to visit them next weekend, I usually take 89 the whole way. What other trails can I take to avoid the bumps and for something different. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ya E2 not bad huh, lol. Im off all this week as well anyone wantin to go for a ride pm me or stop on by im always ready for a ride.

Yamark...When you head up 89 from wilton youll find yourself going over a bridge, up a long steep hill about 4/5 miles from the rr bed. Take a right to follow 89 at the top, and youll come to a small section of plowed road (snow covered still). The new trail they cut is up a couple straightaways on the left (ungroomed and rough as hell). Keep right around the corner and follow that trail. Youll cross the intervale road in temple, go across a bridge, and come to a half ass intersection. Take a left (small, winding trail, but smooth) and follow it across a couple bridges, roads, until you come to a road crossing where you turn up a plowed road and it looks like the trail disappears. Youll have to take this road for a mile or so, its plowed dirt so its not bad, then hang right to take the trail near a house. Itll bring you to an intersection you should be familiar with. Left up the hill is where you would have come from, so go straight and thats 89 and your on your normal trail. Its a lot smoother, and its barely longer once you do it a few times.

ZR, thanks for that. That is a brutle decent coming down that Mountain. How are those club trails that head off 89 South over towards Temple then Farmington? The signage wasn't so great and it was dark so with the wife I really didn't want to venture over that way.

Zr thanks for the info. I printed these direction and put it with my maps. I should be down that way on Saturday. I'm on a blue Mountian Viper , wife rides a black Viper.
Thanks Again

tynan, ya the signage isnt the best out there, but the local guys do a great job of keeping them as smooth as they can. take some time during a day and explore a little, theres some nice ones out there.

yamark, your welcome...stop by and say hi if you see the crossfire 1k in the yard in east wilton off the rr bed.
