YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
I ordered parts here and waited..........after a month i called, they said "your order shipped today" after a month of waiting i called again they said there was an issue with one of the parts. to make a long story short they shipped my order MINUS TWO OF THE PARTS I ORIGINALLY WANTED! i called back and they have no clue.

If you need parts and want them quick and like getting SCREWED this is the place to order your parts from.
I gaurantee you will not be happy.
Plain and simple their customer service sucks major ass.

wow I have ordered from that sight before and got my parts just as fast as if I went to my local dealer! and I saved about 20% on the cost...... I hope this is just an Isolated incident..... too bad for them if it is not....
Insanity
not to hyjack the thread, but seems a good place to post this as well......

Biskit got punked by BULLETCAM.Com........same story, ordered, paid over internet....no product. Checking around it's a scam.

Babbitts should be pretty reputable...BUT...I had the same issue last fall. I ordered parts WITH a NEW machine. parts took f o r e v e r . would have had them in a couple days through Purepolaris.com. took a couple months and I came to find out 2 of 5 items didn't even fit the machine. my first and last experience with them. The only Poo dealer I can rely on is Nelsons...so far.

Thanks Bone.

I bought my sled there and got the lowest price anywhere. I also found Babbitts online to be as low as my dealer price at another OEM shop. Thats pretty cheap considering I do not have a dealership with them.

Babbitts is our local dealer in Muskegon. They ended up buying the other 2 dealerships in town and now own the market for sleds and bikes in Muskegon. Around the area they are not very well liked or respected. I have had a couple of bad experiences with them myself and will not step foot in their building again. Most of my business goes to Kelly's snowmobile sales whos located between Pentwater and Ludington or I head to Peacocks north of Baldwin.

Well this is good to know, as I was just going to order some saddlebags from them. I think I will just get them from weiss in frankenmuth.

i try to deal with babbits as little as possible. I also go and se bev up at kellys. Great people to deal with.

Your in the Gun Lake area, surprise dyou dont go see Flannery and have him get you aht you need. It sucks he doesnt have a dealership any more, but he is still the best motor builder and fixer around. I ahev been dealing with Nelsons and the service guys are AWESOME Barry and Ryan rock but the parts counter and accessories are IDIOTS!!!! I bought USI skis and went up there to get some shaper bars and said that I needed 5 post shaper bars for USI skis and the guy yelled at me and told me I did no know what I was talking about and he package said right on it 'for USI skis' so I HAD TO BE WRONG and he sent me home with the wrong parts and when I called them they had the correct parts in stock and were just too stupid to realize and when I drove the 45 minutes up heer, they just said "sorry" and tried to tell me that I must have asked for the wrong thing then. Service there is great but the pars counter can jump in the lake, they suck!!! and I ride with four or five guysy who have all experienced the same thing.

Good luck with the Babbits thing, they are looking for the internet marketing thing, they dont give a rip about the individual customer.

Thats fine if you ride a cat, but what are the Polaris, Yamaha, and ski-doo riders supposed to do when they call Ron or Tim????? Stanwood's is a single line dealer, I have heard great things about these guys, but they don't deal with the same manufacturer's as Babbitts does!!

If you look the original poster rides a ski-doo, so your comment won't help him at all, now will it?????

I'm convinced you can't get GREAT Poo dealer help anymore. The few that were good, were chased off by Polaris shoving product down their throat, and the big dealers don't care. Stanwood sounds great for the cat guys...wish I had it so good, but a cat is my least favorite machine. Skidoo has a hot product, but I haven't heard much of thier local service, obviously Babbitts is out. For Yammy, there's Shawmut in GR, but I have always had a bad taste in my mouth, even though I've only bought stuff off the shelf. Like I said before, Nelsons has been good to me, but its an hour and a half away.

For accessories, I've begun shifting my needs to sled solutions. Good stuff, great service.

As for Flannery, he's been a great resource for me to stop in and ask questions and pass off some simple service ( I know nothing about clutching), but I haven't needed parts, just accessories.

I had bad luck with them, ordered tunnel protectors and after two weeks I still didn't have them. I call and she said they still had not come in yet, I told her to canel my order. She said that there would be a 25% restocking fee, I was pissed! Why is there a restocking fee when they have not even come in yet. I still have yet to see the credit on my card come thu for the remaining 75% I guess it's time for another pissed off phone call. My advise... don't order from babbitt's on line.
PolarisRider
Wish post was a couple days earlier ... just did (2) online orders w/Babbitts for almost $200 ea. Parts for both Pol and Cat. I'll let you know how I made out. I see first one the charge card was hit already.

For Yamaha SERVICE I very highly reccomend White Lake Nursery in Whitehall. Glen is very knowledgeable about Yamaha snowmobiles! Also for Yamaha parts or product Dan at U-Win Motorsports in Ludington has a real nice selection.

Thanks for all the posts.
I don't feel as bad now knowing i'm not the only one who has been SCREWED by them.
Yes, i do aggree that they were chepaer on prices, that is why i ordered there but cheap prices do me no good when i don't have the parts.

oh well, lesson learned.

Now i can't wait to get my bank statement and so what kinda battle i will be up against to get credited? ??

THANKS AGAIN.

I ordered a pair of shock protectors shortly after Xmas. I recently received an email that said they were on back order and that they would be receiving them on Feb 13 or later. They would then ship them to me. That is almost two months after I ordered them, yet they charged my card immediately on a backordered item. There is no note or anything on the site for the item being on back-order or sold out. I know I will go elsewhere the next time around. Problem was, someone here recommended them, so that is why I ordered from them.

babbitts cheesed me off when I went there shopping for a used sled this winter. They ask top dollar for everything, then a few weeks later I see the same sleds on eBay with a "no reserve" and a much lower price.

Why not sell at a reasonable price and get my repeat business as I am a local?

yes, I agree. I do see their "auctions" on ebay. That doesn't make any sense.
