Hey all. I am Joe and I am from Kokomo, 26 years old, a diesel truck nut and just got my first modern sled most of my sleds have been pre 85's and mostly ditch bangers.
I just picked up a 06 Yamaha Apex GT today
it has 1900 miles 144 studs, clutch kit, ohlins rear shock with adjustment on handle bar as you go.

I am looking to go somewhere on Saturday for a day trip to ride, I need to get use to this sled some. I will be venturing by myself, where would you recommend to go to.

I don't ride much down state but you could go the buffalo run or niles.

Joe ,

Welcome to HCS. I believe you're a member at the Jeep site that I just joined. I actually know some guys that you probably know pretty well. (The "salesman" for Trucks by Buck was in my wedding.)

I am also wanting to make a day trip this weekend but dont' know if it will work out or not. Take a look at sledtheweb.com It sounds like everything should be decent up around South Bend and north from there.

Welcome Joe. One thing that u will want to do is to add your phone number to our call list. It is at the pinned to the top of our indiana forum. The list does work. If i had more $$$ i would try to set up a SW michigan ride like i did last year but i just dont have much play money now.

Nice sled. needs a big turbo and some spray.

Knowing that the pulling truck sitting beside it probably has a big turbo and makes some good smoke I'm sure he could arrange that for the Yami.

Welcome Joe! Nice ride. The sled looks cool too! grinning-smiley-023.gif The trails in South Bend are rough in lots of spots, but rideable. Same for Niles. We usually post local conditions here for Niles and South Bend. You can also check the link in my sig down below.
