Heard a rumor of new Apex in the Nytro FX Chassis. 1350 cc 3 cylinder engine with 175 horsepower. Supposed to be 30 to 40 pounds lighter than Apex. Also a more conventionally styled 500 cc sled based on phazer chassis with a larger hood, seat and windshield, called the Enticer. The phazer will also stay in the line up. Also bigger tank on Nytro and new Apex.

I keep expecting them to lower the displacement for weight savings and put a "factory" turbo on them.

Arctic cat better come up with something new for 09 if this is true

Wish list would be phazer chassis with 120hp vector motor, and revive the "exciter" nameplate.

My guess is that the 09 yamaha's will have bold new graphics and something new in 2010

If they put an apex motor in the Nytro Chassi then I will most likely buy that!

My friend drives and Exciter and he wants a new 4-stroke one by 2010. But these new ones sound promising

Will be buying this. And in 2010 if they come out with something I like even more I will trade that in the for new sled.

i have been looking into buying a phazer for awhile now, but i just think 80 hp is weak. I would love to see 120 hp in the phazer or even 110 hp so it could keep up with the 440s, my mind would be made up. you could ride forever and just change the oil, never have to sit on the sidelines rebuilding motors.

would like to see a more traditional flat seat lake racer with improved suspension and E-Tec like fluid economy, something that actually looks like a snowmobile, not a trike with a track

Look like yamaha finally has some competition from the new ski-doo four-stroke. The Ski-doo even has a real sized fuel tank! On paper it appears to be 10 pounds lighter then the Nytro with more overall engine torque. I do wonder if ski-doo will come out with a kit that will the allow the engine to be re-sleeved and reworked to fit into the 1050 cc racing limitation.

One model on the 8th, rest of the lineup released on the 13th.

I've often said that the first manufacturer to resurect the TRIPLE/TRIPLE 2-SMOKE will have alot of older riders JUMPIN SHIP....The E.P.A. credits are there to be used...But most likely won't happen....Maybe another SNO-SCOOT type of kids sled will be introduced...They need one in the lineup....Also could be a smaller cc 2-smoke (5-600) low low priced intro sled with no frills like POO did..........

Dude you are about 90 % correct ! whom ever you herd this from nows what I now and people can loose jobs over leaks like this "enough said ". In the next two -three years a/c and poo should sell out, because people are going to be amazed at yamaha market analisys and bringing it to the market place , spot on !!! Having a yam snow franchise in the next few years will be like getting a licence to print money !!!!!

New sled premiers tomorrow. It's being called "XTX".

I prefer the Apex chassis layout over than Nytro. Lose 40 pounds.... that would be nice. I think all you will see is a middle weight (cc) sled and a 136 or 144 Nytro, my .02 worth.

That's what I'm guessing. Think about it XTX could = Cross Terrain Extreme or something.

Possibly a DeltaBoxIII chassis or a FXII chassis to fit the 4cyl. apex motor

that would be pretty cool if they brought the enticer name back.

they need to make a 600, 700 and a 600 sno x sled

the release date for the 2009 yamaha's is march 13, 4pm eastern. the nytro xtx. this sled is supposed to be the ultimate crossover sled beating the competition in every aspect. also heard that an apex H.O. might be coming out this year or 2010. i heard the same chassis with the exception to bigger camshaft and pistons. spose to be in the 175 hp range. i don't imagine yamaha will switch their line over to the nytro chassis this early or if ever for that matter. not everyone wants that on top of the machine seating and positioning.

New Apex is coming in MY 2010.

Other than the XTX, there is a new Venture with 126 hp, 144" track, new seat and storage in the back.
Hoping for a supercharged Apex, maybe next year.......maybe they will use the new waverunner motor? Supercharged 240 ish hp, 1.8l, weighs 10% less than MR-1 (marine version of RX-1) motor is replaces......

It was accidently released 1 week early in Supertrax June edition. I got mine in the mail Monday.

I think they confused them selves. Click on the Apex ER and this is the first thing it shows... Notice the 130HP, lol, it's a 150?!?!?!

Ya, I feel pretty let down. The boys in blue really shit the bed for 09'. Yamaha has 10x the potential of the other 3 manufacturers, and what do they do with it??? The guys at Cat, Polaris, and Ski-Don't, would kill to have the momentum that yami has right now, and they (yami) do nothing. I think everyone looks forward to seeing what yami puts out every year, not just yami guys. I think everyone is pretty disappointed. Something stinks!

Dissappointed? If I remember correctly, in the last 6 years they have released 4 new chassis....Deltabox, Deltabox II, Phazer, and the Nytro. You can't expect something brand new every year.

True. But when you have the potential to do sooo much more, why wouldn't you. I'm not saying they should re-invent the wheel, but would a limited edition supercharged model hurt? If for nothing else than bragging rights? They wouldn't have to go into mass production, but something. If yamaha riders wantedhe same old, same old, they would buy something else. Thays why they like the yammi's. There's always something new. I guess there is the xtx.
