I don't feel like spending another $120.00 + shipping for the SLP intake kits when all I have to do is replace the black "nylon" intake material. The sport cost enough without my kids tearing my stuff up(poking holes thru the intake material with a screwdriver-He was very precise, I don't think he missed a hole in the grate). Oh well, I took a hammer to my uncles hot rod 1969 Buick when I was 5, broke headlights, tail lights, front turn signals, told my uncle I was helping him fix his car, so paybacks are a bitch. Any input on what the "nylon" material is and where to find it would be much appreciated.
I see you are in Michigan- go to any sled or bike dealer that orders from Marshall Distributing and have them order up a Marshall #12-7592 Outerwears Pre-filter Fabric piece. it's an 18" x 18" piece of black material just like the SLP stuff. I have repaired SLP air intakes with it, a perfect substitute. About $20 for the piece. If your dealers are incompetent and can't get it call Outerwears direct in Schoolcraft, 1-800-967-3450. They will sell directly to you.The Outerwears number for the fabric is WR18BK.
You're welcome.
