What can I do to stiffen up my suspension a little so it can handle some harder riding without breaking? I'm breaking shafts in the suspension and I can feel every bump on the trail. What kind of options do I have when it comes to a rear shock? Anybody have any experience with the Polaris Fox Position Sensing upgrade kit?

The sled is a 2000 500 XCSP

I'd look for a used edge rear skid, preferably with a clicker rear shock. You'll have to relocate the mounting brackets in the tunnel. A very common swap on here. Measurements is found on http://www.jbshocks.com/tech.html

I installed a set of shocks from a 98 XCR 440 and am happy with the change. The shocks will fit most if not all XTRA 10s. These shocks can be found on 97-99 XCR 440s except the 99 sp which was the EDGE chassis.

I know what you mean, I have a 2000 XC 600 SP and I put a Walker on the rear. Made it ride like a new sled. Only got 300 miles on it until the "T" broke off. I need to do some mods to make it work. The shock was off a 05-06 440. Did you happen to change the directions of the block in the back? I keep mine setup for drage with just enough weight on the front to steer, plus my fox was rebuilt with thick fluid and the back spring is setup for a 300lbs. person. I only weigh in at 185. Good luck.

KRSS144 are you the one that I set the walker up for on extra 10? If not I did one of these for a guy and was concerned that would happen. back in the day we could not make a remote live on an extra 10. I think we got like 600 miles 1 time before breaking it. The only other thing I can think to try on the walker shock is to go with a banjo style fitting.

I second swapping in an edge skid. It will be about the same money as getting a differnet shock set up and will be a much better set up.

Yes I am, sorry I havent kept in touch work has had me so busy working 24/7. The shock worked awesome until the 90 broke off. I think this weekend me and my father in law are going to try and tweek it a little. We are thinking of drilling a new hole off to the side of the shock vs. the 90 coming our of the bottom. I think there is plenty of room off the side. I will be sending it back to you with my other 4 Fox. You did an awesome job with the shoxs. Thanks again and I will call you later.
