I live in Springfield. we have only gotten flurries in the last week. I would say go north
people are riding but I don't think I would make a weekend out of it.

We don't even ride these trails we go to the NEK for all of our riding

The riding is good up north, lots of good groomed trails for a couple of days riding.

forget going over hawks mtn very rough. take rt5 north through brownsville and you'll pickup the south woodstock groomer. do a little exploring around the hartland area trails were groomed and in good shape as of monday.

The Springfield (Hawks Mtn) groomer is out right now. I heard last weekend was okay, considering we do not have a lot of snow. As Schifty said, the Cavendish side of Hawks Mtn is not very good. I would head towards Plymouth State Park Area.

thanks for your report on the trails. I went to Springfield last Saturday and stayed on 5N into Hartland. Do you think I will be able to ride 5N again this weekend with the rain that is forecasted this week? Thanks again!

getting through brownsville and across RT44 will be difficult at best. I bet once your up the hill heading towards hartland you'll be fine. Try parking in S. woodstock more snow up that way and only 15 minutes down the road. from their you can easly go south to the hartland trails and north up into coolidge for a good ride. we rode last sunday and things were gettng very thin in spots but great in others. good luck
