My 900 was a carbboot and it cost me 1200 dollars when it was said and done with a bunch of stupid little things and a new jug and two new pistons.

There has to be something you can put on the carb boots to protect them? There are some people going buying a new set and having those turn to junk.

excuse my ignorance but what is a carb boot

what exactly does a carb boot do and what is it

Cold seizure is somewhat common on the libery motors, when mine blew from a piston skirt failure there was evidence of 4 corner seizure on the good side. Dealer mech said he sees it quite a bit. Recommended new top end every 2k to me.

Alot of the carb boot problems are coming from the Timbersled air intake. The intake vibrates entirely too much without the stock airbox because the stock airbox secures the entire intake system. The Timbrersled does not give enough support, period. I am not saying that the boots are not cracking with stock airbock, but the problem is worse with the Timbersled. How many of you have broken the air filter on your Timbersled? Think about it!
