Fish hut operators are not yet out on Kempenfelt Bay but with very little snow in Innisfil and closed trails I am wondering if anyone has drilled test holes on the main lake yet.
I am looking to cross the bay to gain access to the Oro rail line into Orillia and beyond.
With the lake fully closed up and the recent cold temps I am hoping for safe ice by the weekend.

Also any Orillia riders out there who have made the trip to Gravenhurst yet this year.

Thanks, but facts only please. I live a 1/4 mile from the lake and it has been frozen across since at least Monday.
I was standing at the mouth less than 10 minutes ago.
Again, anyone drilled any holes at the eastern end of the bay??

The weight of the snow has forced water up and is covered now by the snow. Use caution!
