Guys,

Can anyone tell me is there a better way to snyc?
I have a Garmin 76cx and really like it but I noticed my TOPO map on my laptop is alot more detailed than the screen on my handheld GPS.
Is there a way to download all that little information too?
Little thing like the nae of the rivers/lakes/towns don't show up on my handheld but do on the MapSource on my laptop.

There's a setting somewhere in your GPS menu to set the detail. Set it to most, and then that detail will show up without having to zoom way in.

Thanks....I will try that!!

Got it!
Thanks....I had it set at "more" and switch it to "Most"....now I have everything.

Thanks!

Okay,
I got most of it.....as far as the details but still not the same as the TOPO map from MapSource.
I am working with the UP of Michigan.
Marquette is a good example....
on my MapSource TOPO you can see various mountain/high peaks....11 of them within 10-15miles of Marquette.
When I use my handheld GPS.....those landmarks/waypoints or whatever they are don't show up.
That is just one example, there are many other....names of towns, elevations, etc....still not the same detail.

A couple things to try:

1. Zoom in more

2. Turn "Declutter" off in your GPS menu

Thanks, the "Declutter" really helped.....it gave more detail which is really nice and what I wanted, but not quite enuff just yet.
I'll see if I can mess with it some more.

Really wish it had the detail like the Mapsource TOPO but much better than it was before.
Thanks
