Hi all. This is something that I really didn't want to post but I really feel that it needs to be done. Last weekend we were racing in some fields and all of a sudden my sled had a pretty major power loss. 7800-7900 down to a about 7400-7500. Also it felt very lazy and revved slow. I pulled her in my buddies garage and started to check stuff out. Clutches, RAVE valves, reeds, carbs, ect, ect. I even had a couple of conversations with Bill Cudney on the phone and he gave me some ideas what to check. (Thanks much Bill!) I finally tore the top end off even though it had 150psi in both holes. Nothing wrong there. So after all this wrenching, going to get gaskets, ect, ect, I decided to put it back together. When it was almost back together my buddy picked up my Dynoport can to reinstall it. When he picked it up it rattled. One of the baffles or plates had broke off inside and most have covered the exit! All this work for a broken can! So I put the stock one back on and it runs great again.

So..... I called Dynoport and talked to Rich stating that I have one of his cans that failed and what I went through. Here is where the disappointment starts. He ask what year the sled was and how many miles it had. I said it was an 03 with 4400 miles. (I could see where this was going) He said that it probably rusted out inside from sitting all those summers since 03. I told him that I put the can on in 05 and it had about 2500 miles on it. He said nothing. I ask him, What do you suggest I do??? He said, Cut it apart with a band saw and try to weld it back together. I told him that I will just go back to stock since I have a stock can and it is fine. Then I gave him a dissapointed "thanks" and hung up. What do you guys think of this?????? Would you be upset???

I'm surprised,
I've called there with a couple questions, got Rich on the phone and jawed for over a half hour about tuning to his pipes, clutch set ups etc. Sorry to hear you had a problem. What gaurantee do other mfg's give ? Good Luck

Yea. I hear ya. I never ask him for anything for free but I would have been thrilled with a discount on a new one.
