the pto side of the motor fouls out new plugs after a few minutes of warm up and the only way i got it to fire is pull the cap off and hold it above the plug about an 1/8 of a inch while the motor is still running on mag side weird. iam thinking mabe dirty in injectors, lost the ground, bad plug cap's,bad fuel, ignition gone bad. the machine has 1720 mile's on it plus the right hand warmer is not working the last few day's. when the machine run's on both cylinder's it has no motor problems what so ever until i park it for a few hour's and it foul's the same side plug all the update's are installed. dragon 700 07 model

Ain't that odd. I could have written the same right down to the milage give or take 50.
I have fouled no less than 10 plugs this year, all but one at startup or right after. I recently had the 08 RMK map downloaded and haven't fouled a plug since (only 80 miles but many cold starts). Before, plugs were tar coverred. Now they are looking like they should. I run at 500-3500 feet.
Pulled back the cover on the handgrip and found one of the wires was broken off at the solder joint. Was able to resolder in situ to get by while dealer is getting a new one (under warranty).

The reason it fires when you pull the cap away is because you increase the gap from the cap to the plug which makes your coil output more power. Did you ever notice the lights on the sled are brighter when you pull the cap away.
