1st I've heard that I need to seat the rings before I fire it what's the best way?

2nd I have already bled the oil line going to the pump now I need to bleed the injection lines. The book says to have the motor running at idle and open the pump up all the way, seems easy enough but are there any tips or tricks or certain things to look for during?

3rd How much oil should I mix in with the gas for the 1st start? keeping in mind that I have to bleed the oil pump. Should it be 50-1, 100-1 or somewhere lower or in between?

This is my first complete rebuild start to finish and I don't want to have any thing go wrong because I did something wrong starting it the 1st time. I know the motor is ok I went by the book word for word, it is completely stock rebuild save for the Vforce 3 reeds that were there before the rebuild.

Any information at all is greatly appreciated and if there seems to be something I have missed please let me know.

Thanks

1. I've never heard of seating the rings. The only thing you have to do to the rings is make sure you have the correct end gap.
I squirt a little oil in the cylinders and turn it over by hand before I fire it up.
2. I never worry to much about bleeding the pump, you are running premix in your first tank or two any way.
3. I always mix 50 to 1 for the first two tanks of fuel, during that time I make sure the oil pump is working.
4. Don't run high rpm's for any lenght of time for the first tank of fuel.

If you took your time and followed a service manual you should have no problem.
