We are riding from my cabin at Lake Metigoshe into Saskatchewan this weekend and I was wondering what the snow conditions are like. I haven't been to the cabin since New Years and there wasn't much snow then. We will be riding to Gainsborough and then doing a loop or two before heading home. Thanks.

Are you on f@#king crack, went from Carnduff to pierson today and ditches are blown full to almost grass level, you need to realize the wind blows around here a little and if the grass is only 3 inches high in the ditch that is how much snow will be in the ditch ,ditches are far from bare but I still would not recommend riding to Gainsborough, its getting better every time the wind blows and we keep getting these skiffs of snow but we still could use a few more inches!its is ridable and I don't think you have to worry about hy-fax or carbides but It is sketchy

Here in Weyburn, it is good! Went for 3.5 hours and the stubble fields are great!!!!!!! Ditch banging is real good. Just had to avoid summerfollow fields!

Thanks for the info, I think we'll just head west Saturday and see what it's like as we go. We wanted to ride to Pierson then Carnduff, have lunch maybe to a little loop and ride back to the lake. Normally we just ride in the park when we go to the cabin, time to try something different. Next year if we get some snow I'd like to ride into Saskatchewan as far as we can in one day, spend the night and ride home the next day. In a good year when we have lots of snow what are the trails like in the south east corner.

manitoba trails are groomed to sask border between pierson and gainsborough, sign says trail is closed but if they are crazy enough to run the groomer in the ditch they may as well be riden on!,I haven't riden the ditch myself yet but looks like there should be little to no problem to get to Carnduff from Gainsborough

Why is it, you can't post a decent reply on here without my loud mouth ANTEATER calling me names and shooting his mouth off. There is no need to call me a f-n crack head. This is turning into a war of I GOT MORE SNOW THAT YOU!! bull shit. the grass had 4 of fallen snow and 2 inches blow in, except along fences then maybe a foot, if you ride 2 inches from the fence, if you call that lots of snow then ride it, have fun but don't miss lead folks looking for a HONEST answer. There only been 6 inches of snow fall in the SE since NOV. 1 inch of frost on the tree's Plus the wind that produces snow according to anteater. You know we can't even mark our trails around here, so how do you expect to go for a decent ride. Lets go for a ride at the woods Sun, you must be going nuts, because you haven't had much riding yet. That would explain this. PEACE!!!

Cost us our carbides & sliders but we made it. Other than the ditches there isn't much snow, I hope you get hit by the storm tonight.
