when I was a teen, in say the late 90's we had a 94 Polaris 300 with oil injection, no problems that I can remember. And we used that in the winter. One year we didnt recieve any snow for months and everything was frozen. You could ride on any swamp and over any river. I can remember one trip -20 coming out to the road about 30 miles away. Man was I cold, but it ran like a top. We also did alot of plowing with it. Did that happen to you, or are you just wondering?

Not to me, but a neighbor has said he had his freeze up from condensation in the oil tank, or so he thinks, it ruined his motor, I suspect he got moisture in it from another source. Keep 'em coming, I'd like to here if this is ever an issue. My own 2 Polaris ATV's have been trouble free.

Thanks,
Don

With your higher humidity there it's possible but unlikely. Tell him keep the tank full it will elminate the condesation. If he is worried about it ruining the motor it came from another source. Most oil tanks feed from the bottom. So it pulling a little moisture thru the system every now and again is not going to harm anything. If the moisture or water build up is enough to freeze a line or block the feed or ruin a motor then it's probably from another source. I run my sleds in and out of the garage all the time and generally the most I ever see is a few droplets on the cap. Wipe them off refill tank and go.
