have bought a 98 t-cat, i"m about to clean the carb on it, my question for those who have owned one, does the stock jetting "430" where good or a little too rich on that sled?? on mine the engine is bone stock.. just wondering, cause was thinking maybe to put 420 instead of the stock 430....

The 430's seem to work good on mine (all stock). My plugs are a dark cardboard. Could probably go to 420's. I have no hesitation or stumble with the 430's so they are staying in for added safety. I probably have 100 miles or so on mine.

It all depends on you, I re-jet for every ride. There fore I will never second guess myself on "potential" lost performance

I think these tripples want fuel so I would stay with the 430 mj.

I put 420's in my 96 ZRT 800 and made a noticably good difference and never had problems. I also had Vforce reeds that seemed to like the 420's better than 430's
