Hi guys, hope you can help me out here. Im only getting little over 70mph outta my 670 summit at 8000rpm on the flat.....seems to have lots of torgue all the way up there. I had the drive and clutch serviced a year ago. Im running for gears 21-44. Should I look at changing my gearing and to what or should I get the secondary clutch checked and new spring? I need more speed, cant have a 500 keep up to me. Thanks guys.

It is a mountain sled. NOT a trail sled. If you put a 23 tooth top gear it would help but may hurt you off trail. You man need a longer chain too.

Ive just removed a 23t off my 670, swapped it for a 20 but im running 8t i/o drivers, can send it your way if ya need?

I talked to a skidoo mechanic and he said since my primary clutch hasn't been service in a few years and im sure its been longer, I probably need a kit thrown into it and a new spring. My secondary is in good shape so im going to start with the clutching since I know the person I bought if off didnt do anything to it unless it broke. Thanks guys, I will keep you all updated and let you know how it works out. My 21t top should be ok with my 2in track.

Take the 500 up a 45 deg. incline and se if he beats you? decide if tou want a mountain sled 2" track or a lake racer. 500 will always beat a mountain sled.
