Okay, I road my friends 08 800 dragon and man does that ride nice! The suspension made this sled feel so much lighter than my 06 700. And the handling was so much better. SO my question is "what can I do to my 700 to give it this ride"? Here is what has been done:
SLP can
Removed air box
Removed trail arms so it would handle better in the powder, which did help but now the front end dives down and the front has always felt lower. That dragon set up nice!

So help a guy out! I cannot afford to buy a dragon but I really need to improve my ride and handling!

Do some of the mods Carls Cycle recommends. Holz spindles for sure. A-arm guards. Add a 2" bar riser. 7041822-067 front track shock spring. 5248794-067 sway bar, 5435516, 5435517 bushings, and 7621431 rivets x2. Taking the sway bar off is a step backwards. Put some fox floats ski shocks, and fox zero pro front track and rear shocks. Carl's will valve them for your application. These combined changes will make a huge difference in your sled. Also look at putting the SLp rad removal kit in, no need for it.

Thanks Pockets. This is the type of feedback I'm looking for. Some of it was foreign lanquage and I would like some laymans terms, but this is the feedback I'm looking for. If anyone else has some, I'd like to hear it.

The numbers are polaris part numbers.

I also own the 06 Polaris 700 rmk 151. Pockets has mentioned a few weight saving and performance inhancing ideas. I have a few suggestions also. My focus and goal with my sled was number one put my sled on a diet and number two purchase weight saving parts that add value and performance to my sled. With those two goals in mind, i started with the air intake and exhaust. I yarded out the large bulky air intake box located above the clutch and installed an SLP front air intake located in the nose of the sled. To install that SLP front air intake kit i purchased an SLP front radiator removal kit. Removing that radiator and hoses and installing the front air intake kit lightened up the front end considerably. Next i removed the "suitcase" sized boat anchor of an exhaust can (almost blew my back out removing it due to the weight....kidding!) and installed a lighter exhaust can. I kept the stock exhaust pipe as i will eventually replace it in the future. I replaced all four stock Ryde FX shocks and opted for revalved Walker Evans shocks that reduced alot of weight in the front and rear of the sled. To lighten up my 151" track i ported the track and cut out the windows on the track to alleviate rotating weight and mass and frankly i think it looks great. Venting was another performance enhancing, weight shedding project i did with my sled as i added front and rear air intake/exhaust vents and added venting on the side panels of my sled. I have also cut rectangular 2" x 4" slots in the running boards with a tool that i purchased from my friendly polaris dealer to reduce weight and allow built up snow and ice to drop through the running boards. There are a lot more little things i have done to the sled in the name of weight saving and performance enhancments but i dont really have the time to list like lightweight handlebars, 6" fly racing handlebar riser setup etc. etc. etc.
