They are made to give so you dont take out the whole front end. Just like the old trailing arms were.

Get used to it. Though it's not an entirely bad thing.
POO designed the A-arms to be the "fusible link" in the front, strong enough to take all reasonable loads but weak enough to give before doing any harm. We ride very hard in places with many hidden landmines such as you experienced. Las year, I went through 7 or 8 A--arms at $100-110 each. No damage, what-so-ever to the bulkfead or frame. This year I started with an XP Summit 146X and hit a washout starting from full stop. Bent the S-module frame member which cost me almost a grand to replace. But, I saved the $100 A-arm. So next A-arm, and there will be one, think about the $800 or more you just saved.
While far from impressed with going through A-arms like fuel, I have come to realize that every time I've replaced one, I could have done some REAL damage. If you hit something hard enough to get tossed, the sled has absorbed a hell of a lot of force. Limiting the damage to the A-arm, and sometimes the carbide, works for me. BTW, often when you wreck an A-arm you twist a ski. The plastic can be straightened if heated in close to boiling water.

I bent my lower right a-arm, was able to get a replacement from Automatic parts distributors, $99 versus the $170 from Polaris. The Automatic arm did not have any bushings though, and is noticeably heavier than stock. You can't use the 06 A-arms either, different part number.
