I can't believe how fucking bad things have gotten! All of a sudden it gets cold and now we have no precipitation. This shit is really getting old every year same shit. I keep saying it's gonna get better...and then that whore mother nature pulls this crap.
OK I feel a little bit better, anyone else want to vent little?
PS. If you figure on the money you spend to be a snowmobiler every year and put that cost per mile what would it be?

A couple years ago, I bought a new F7, TMA, insurance, blah blah blah. It was the famous snowless winter. I put on about 150 miles total. The least amount I can ever remember. I figured about 55 bucks a mile that year.
I'm gonna bail out this spring and spend my next years money on having my bike shipped south and riding for a couple weeks next winter. Gonna start with a lap around the Grand Canyon. Maybe I'll like it so much, I'll move there when I retire in five to seven years, and ride year round.

Good idea I should send my boat to Florida next winter

I feel your frustration but if there was enough snow to ride and I couldn't, I'd be even more frustrated. Like women I guess....<cliche>can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.</cliche>

I am probably at close to $3 per mile. I spent over $1000 on suspension upgrades and shocks, then add in the money on gas and oil, registration and insurance. I Have around 500 miles which is a lot better then the 2005-2006 season where I only got 180 or so for the whole season. Hopefully the begining of February we will get back to somewhat normal riding season.

STOP WAITING FOR SNOW, GO AND FIND IT. Have over 1000 miles as of yesterday. And oh, was the ride sweet. Very surprised at just how good they are NE. Like I said earlier, I will give yesterdays 180 mile ride a 90 (A-) The worst ride I took this season was when all the snow was on the ground but no groomers and pounded the cellulite right off my bottom, and felt like I was hit by a truck. Came home last night, felt great and this morning ready to do it again. GO AND GET IT

$31.25 per mile!

That doesnt include Fuel for the sleds or truck!!

I don't generally like to trailer. Most of the time if I can't ride from my house then there isn't usually a lot of area to ride, plus it will be a lot more sleds in a smaller area. You can call it whining but you would probably think different if you were 1.5hrs away. I don't have a lot of spare time and not going to waste most of it driving to some place to ride. My preference.

Thanks. It's a '98. We're running 540 Bulldogs, but they're a bit bigger than 540's now. They've been rebuilt. With the full cabin we run in the low 70's. I think it's the only Gun with the Tiger paint job.
What do you have in the Cafe?
Nothing like a straight hull Cig in the rough.

Understandable, especially with the money aspect. Boats aren't exaclty the best with fuel, especially big blocks, haha.

Very nice. The Bulldogs we have are meant to be blown, but Dad doesn't want to get into that. He'd like to either convert to EFI or just swap these out for some HP525's. We'll see what happens. He's also mentioned selling it...

Here's a little sample of the local hardware. We try to get together for a run a couple of times a year. The 2 cats that are shown, and the boat that's shooting the video, are probably 3 of the fastest boats on the lake.

Yep, I'm on OSO too. Yeah he's selling it, although I don't think he really wants to. It's a good thing he got those donkey dicks on it, not many people are fond of that kind of noise idling around the docks.

It still sounds great at speed though.

What is the fuel consumption on those rigs @ WOT, 60-70gal/hr? Probably don't put too many hours on them unless you have VERY deep pockets. Very nice boats!!

No, thats not his actual boat. His has a $30K custom paint job on it with a dragon spitting fire and shit like that.
He has had several of them over the years and they all had totally different paint jobs on them. His last boat was a Donzi and he couldnt stand the thing so he sold it to get another Sonic. He only had the Donzi one summer and took a $100K bath getting out of it.
Must be nice to have a disposable income like that.
He's had probably 5 or 6 Sonics by now....

We have 2 GPH meters on the TG. We don't run WOT very often, but the GPH's can get upwards of at least 40 I want to say. Even though the gauges are in front of me, I tend not to look at them. I'm sure GL's boat (the 42 Cig) runs a bit more, especially at 98mph!
